Badkoobeh: she said I like you because you look like my grandson!
The actor of the series “Dar Khaneh” tells about the memories of playing with the late Shahla Riahi in this TV series.
Shahla Riahi, a veteran actress of our country’s cinema and television, passed away yesterday morning at the age of 93. She was born on February 7, 1927, in Tehran, he entered the cinema in 1952, playing a role in the film “Khab Haye Talaei” directed by Moazeddin Fekri. The late Riahi continued her activities in radio plays for about two decades as an actress and director. In 1957, she was named the first female director of Iranian cinema with the film “Marjan”.
After revolution she played in such movies like “Dar Khaneh”,“Ezdevaje Por Majara”,“In Khaneh Door Ast”,“Dar Khaneh”,“Sang Va Shisheh”,“Atelie”,“Darde Penhan”,“Foroshgah”,“Mehman Pazir”,“Delshodegan”,“Golnar”,“Marge Palang”,“Cheshme Oghab”,“Farar Az Jahanam”,“Tohfeh Hend”,“ Royaye Nime Shabe Tabestan” and “Bacheh Haye Talagh”.
“Babak Badkoobeh” is an actor, writer and TV programmer who co-starred with the late artist in the TV series “Dar Khaneh” as one of the three young actors in the series. This series was broadcast on television in 1986 by the direction of Bijan Birang and the late Massoud Rassam.
In an interview with a reporter of Anna News Agency, Babak Badkoobeh expressed his impression of the death of this veteran actress and said: “Many teenagers were tested to select the teenage actors of this series, I also passed these tests and was selected because of my resemblance to Mr Akbar Abdi, who played the role of the father .”
Badkoobeh stated: The series “Dar Khaneh” was Ms Riahi’s first role in front of the camera after the revolution. Before the revolution, she was very active in cinema, television, and especially radio, but after the revolution, she did not have any visual activity for several years, until Mr Birang and Rassam talked to the directors of the radio and station and persuaded them to use Ms Riahi`s presence in this series.
He added: Ms Riahi played the role of landlord and grandmother in the series “Dar Khaneh”.Two other teenage actors and I played the role of three children whose adventures revolve around their activity and being naughty. In addition to her, Mr Akbar Abdi, Mr Ismail Pourreza, Mr Ismail Mehrabi and Ms Roya Afshar also played in this series, all of whom had good experiences in the field of acting.
“However, her ability to play and be a professional was a long way from other casts,” said Badkoobeh. Anyway, Ms Riahi was one of the veterans of theatre and cinema, and she had been in the field of acting for more than forty years in those years. Despite her age, Ms Riahi was more professional than other actors; she got along very well with the production team. Even like a kind grandmother, she helped us as children of ten, eleven years old and we wanted to care anyway. Sometimes she brings us food on the set so that the length of the filming sessions does not bother us. He always supported us so that we would not be harmed.
He said: God bless Ms Riahi, she had a grandson who was abroad at that time and she always told me that I love you very much because you are like my grandson! This support and kindness of Ms Riahi will never be erased from my and other cast`s memories in the series “Dar Khaneh “.
This cinema and TV actor said: As I said, being a professional was completely reflected in her work; Because she coped with the difficulties of working patiently. I remember in one sequence, Ms Riahi had to walk quickly across the yard crying and go to a house across the alley and then say a dialogue. Her dialogue was like this that she told the residence who rented that house to leave that place: do not leave here! I was wrong! Stay at my house. I regretted it.
Badkoobeh added: because for the recording of this sequence camera was moving, it was probably repeated in fifteen shots.” Once the camera failed or we made a mistake; Once the light was not good and … Ms Riahi, although there was no problem in her play, followed the same fifteen or sixteen impressions and did not protest. Eventually, the situation became like that Mr Birang and Rassam told the cast to be more careful because Ms Riahi had to cry and say these dialogues with difficulty in every sequence.
This harmony with the circumstances showed that the late Riahi was a professional actress and loved her work.
he said: “The series” Dar Khaneh “was a kind of conquest of her presence in cinema and television, and after that, she became one of the most prolific and memorable actresses in the 60s and 70s.
The TV presenter and programmer stated: I am sure that Ms Riahi’s motherly and kind tone will always remain in the memory of TV and cinema audience. After all, the world is a place to leave; People come and go, and the world is accustomed to these travels. It is we who deal with the grief of the loss and memories of great human beings. I hope that the soul of dear Ms Riahi is happy and I offer my condolences to her family and the artistic community of the country
